Welcome to The Beehive Day Nursery

We aim to offer the best possible start to a child’s early education through a seamless combination of adult-led and free-play. Children experience a wide range of opportunities within our unique environment which includes access to our very own Meadow with a mud kitchen, bug hotel, large den building area, willow igloo and vegetable patch. The children spend a vast amount of time outdoors, exploring the natural environment whilst developing their motor skills by riding bikes and scooters, throwing and catching balls and digging for treasure in the sandpit.

Back inside, the environment is adapted to meet children’s interests and you will discover cosy corners filled with cushions and blankets for enjoying stories, large role-play areas where children can use their imagination, plenty of space to be creative with access to well-stocked art units along with a wide-range of resources that can be self-selected to enable children to be excited and curious about the world around them.

The children learn about the importance of a good diet and nutrition as they enjoy delicious food, freshly prepared by our in-house chef. Menus reflect the seasons and the children are encouraged to taste a wide range of foods; from roast lunches to homemade vegetable curry and their favourite green (spinach) scones! We have recently received our 5* food hygiene certificate once again thanks to our dedicated kitchen team.

Over the past two years, we have developed our very own facility to support children’s early language development. With a dedicated and trained staff member, we offer daily ‘Talking Groups’ within our separate Daisy Room. This enables children to improve their confidence with talking, improve speech clarity and to learn new vocabulary within a quieter environment, with a reduced ratio of staff to children.

We would welcome the opportunity to show you around our unique setting with your child. Please email info@beehivedaynursery.co.uk or telephone 01823 339110 request a prospectus or to arrange a viewing.
