Nursery Director

As The Beehive’s qualified teacher, Chloe is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery. Having previously taught in a Primary School, Chloe has a passion for the Early Years and up to date knowledge of current curriculum requirements. Chloe is also the Lead Child Protection Officer and SENCo.

Elaine Goring

Director & Financial Administrator

Elaine often visits the children in the nursery and they always request that she teaches them some more line-dancing steps!

Mark House


Mark’s full time job is as a local farmer, helping to run his small, family business. They breed Aberdeen Angus beef cattle and farm in excess of 500 acres of Arable land locally and so he can usually be found sat in his blue tractor or behind the wheel of the combine.

Most weekends, Mark comes into the nursery to help with maintenance (i.e. mending and fixing things that the nursery staff have written on his list!).

Richard Goring


As well as part-owning this small, family run nursery, Richard also part-owns the successful design and print business which adjoins the nursery and is a familiar face to the children.

Louise has worked at The Beehive since it opened in January 2012. With a strong passion for the outdoors, Louise leads all of the learning in this area. Louise supports Chloe to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and is always available to speak to parents. Louise teaches Forest School weekly within our pre-school where the children love the opportunity to explore and learn about the great outdoors. Away from her work life, Louise has 2 grown up children and enjoys time away with her husband walking, relaxing and exploring Cornwall.

FdA Early Childhood Studies (2011)

Debbie has a passion for the Early Years, with 12 years of experience working mainly with children under 3. Debbie has also worked at The Beehive since it first opened in January 2012. Debbie has 2 grown-up sons, a granddaughter and 2 cats Leila and Stella. Debbie devotes any time off to her family, looking after her granddaughter each week and regularly cooking for a house full at the weekends!


Honey Bees Room Leader

FdA Early Childhood Studies (2012)

Alicia has been working at The Beehive since its’ first year of opening in 2012. Having successfully worked here for several years, Alicia was promoted to Room Leader last September. Alicia has a Bengal cat called Otis who is very mischievous! Alicia also enjoys catching up with friends in her free time and regularly travels to visit family living in Brighton, Oxford and Dorset.


Worker Bees Room Leader

Level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (2011)

Katie has worked at The Beehive since September 2012 has worked within our toddler and pre-school areas since starting with us. Katie has a real passion for supporting children to develop their independence and readiness for school. Katie is currently studying towards her Level 5 childcare qualification which she hopes to achieve by February 2017. Katie loves nothing more than spending any free-time cooking dinner for friends and developing her garden at home.

Staff Team

The staff team has grown significantly over the past 5 years from 6 to over 30 employees. All of our staff are committed to providing the highest level of care and support for your child. All staff have been thoroughly vetted with an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment.

Our childcare staff team are each qualified to at least level 3 with some currently working towards their BA(Hons) and Foundation Degrees in Early Childcare. In addition to this, we usually employ one apprentice each year.
